Today, he clarified his position in “the next Bitcoin upgrade cycle will center around MimbleWimble, bringing tremendous value to the Bitcoin ecosystem.” In which, he highlighted how it is not a matter of IF MimbleWimble is incorporated, but WHEN; and as well, it MUST occur via hard fork - unless, like SegWit, someone figures out how to do so via soft fork.

These articles are not meant to scare Bitcoin holders – as ultimately, he believes MimbleWimble WILL be part of Bitcoin, making it significantly more valuable. However, the road to MimbleWimble incorporation could take many paths, some rockier than others.
