Nothing about investing is easy – particularly cryptocurrency, given its revolutionary nature and unfathomably volatile nature. I’d bet 95% of crypto investors have lost money in the past decade – including those holding the most “conservative” bet by far, Bitcoin. Those still in the sector – whether clinging to gains, or nursing losses – hope the bear market is over…which, as I wrote earlier today, may well be the case.

Irrespective, there’s no guarantee a full-blown mega-bull will occur, as so many people hope and pray for. The fact that so many people expect it should be alarming in and of itself – particularly because so many major crypto-related issues have yet to be resolved, like Bitcoin’s ongoing scaling, privacy, and fungibility issues. Which, I might add, may be primary reasons why the bull market has not yet re-started.
There’s no guarantee what will happen, but the reason I joined the MWC team is because I believe so strongly in Chris Gilliard’s vision for the potential impact of MimbleWimble technology on crypto - particularly, Bitcoin. The reason being, that despite having heard so many good things about MW before it was commercially viable, the reality of its impact now that it is could be far more powerful than anyone anticipates.
The more I read of it, the more I believe MW would have been used by Satoshi in 2009, and WILL be used one day, like it or not. And per Chris’ latest, MUST READ article – which could be THE most important Bitcoin-related article of 2019 – with each passing day, the likelihood that MW can ONLY be incorporated via hard fork increases.

In other words, a debate far more contentious than 2017’s “scaling debate” (which continued in 2018, when “Satoshi’s Vision” joined the fray) is likely, though the timing is uncertain. Quite frankly, it may be several years away – after MimbleWimble related coins have vastly outperformed the crypto space, including Bitcoin. And Litecoin, too – as despite Charlie Lee’s brilliant marketing skills, Litecoin has the same scaling and fungibility issues as Bitcoin.
There is no way of knowing what the future holds, of course. However, if indeed a bitter scaling debate is coming – in which MimbleWimble technology is at the forefront – Bitcoin holders will extremely pleased to know the MWC airdrop will give them access to this MW “hedge” for FREE!
