Thirteen months ago, just after the BRhodium airdrop was announced, I proclaimed airdrops will be “the predominant form of Bitcoin cryptodividend, ending the hard fork.” The ease, and safety, in which they are obtained – compared to the near impossibility of safely obtaining hard forks – was as night and day as the soundness of Bitcoin relative to fiat currency. That said, I had no idea just how prescient this view was, given what I have since learned.

Which is, that not only are airdrops far more efficient, but they foster COMMUNITY amongst those privileged, proactive, and open-minded enough to have obtained them.
The deeply experienced coder Chris Gilliard, having participated in the highly successful, and pioneering BRhodium airdrop, understood its value so much, he brought it to the burgeoning MimbleWimble technology platform – creating the MWC coin that will be airdropped to BTC investors this summer. In the “mission statement” he created last week, he specifically refers to the COMMUNITY airdropped coins create…
…particularly when the new coin takes the best attributes of available offerings – in MWC’s case, the free airdrop, heightened scarcity, and in-kind dividend – to make it more “investable.”

Thus, it was no surprise when, in this week’s Crush the Street interview, crypto investment icon Tim Draper said one of the top reasons Bitcoin will come to dominate the financial world is its ability to generate airdropped cryptodividends.
BRhodium and MWC are two of the earliest adopters of this brilliant strategy to build COMMUNITY around new coins via BTC airdrop distribution. I look forward to watching both grow – and many others, in the near future.
