Android is an operating system which provides the users with a variety of features and applications in Smartphone’s and tablets. Many android versions have been launched in the market and are loved greatly by all the users. Most phones nowadays are based on android operating system. Being a technology driven and electronic usage system, the android operating system is also prone to different kind of viruses and malwares. It is very common that the phones and tabs used by people is having some or the other kind of virus in them. Though there are many ways available to get rid of such kind of malwares that affect the functioning of the device, it is not always a easy task. These viruses get entered into the device with applications, usually on third party websites as Google play checks it’s applications on a daily basis. There are many ways available in Smartphone’s nowadays to remove the android virus easily. By tapping the factory reset option available in the android driven phones the complete virus and malware gets removed and all the settings in the phone get reset and the device gets protected. But it is very important to restore and backup the entire device so that by doing a factory reset the data on the device does not get erased. There are some simple steps available for the users to remove the android virus. The steps are stated below:

  1. If you think you may have downloaded a virus then the best and most important step is putting the phone in safe mode. By putting the device on safe mode the device hinders any kind of malware coming into the device with some kind of external android applications and protects the device to a great extent by not allowing any internet access, this means nobody can steal your data or infect your phone further. This technique might not work 100% but is definitely a important step because it prevents any further damage.

  2. By going through the applications already downloaded on the device in the system settings of the phone, the user can easily check the infection symbols on those downloaded applications and uninstall the app if there is some kind of infected content on that application.

  3. The application that gets hanged in between or is showing vague and unnecessary tabs of advertisements mostly have some of the malware content in it, so by simple uninstalling those applications the android malware on the device can be removed, but the virus will likely still on be your phone.

  4. Take a complete backup of the device data just incase you need to perform a factory reset, this preserves your data and gives you a option to come back to this point.

  5. There are many trusted anti-virus applications available for android operating systems, these applications can be easily downloaded on the device and given access to the applications that exist on the device. It will warn the user every time when threat from android virus will be detected on the device.

  6. the last step if the antivirus has failed is to completely reset your phone to factory, no user files will be on the phone after this step but neither will any virus's.
