Android 7.0 Nougat now available

As expected, Google has released the final version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The update is available for the Nexus and Pixel lines. So what do we get in the Android Nougat? Let's take a look!

Let's go on ascending. Firstly, 72 new emoji, and the ability to use several languages when typing was added to the new operation system. But this is not an innovation because it could be done much earlier.

Also in Nougat appeared a long-awaited Multi-window view, which allows you to work with few programs simultaneously. This feature could be most useful for owners of tablets, because of the larger screen size. Selecting and switching applications displayed by pressing the multitasking icon.

The interesting part for both developers and users is support of Vulkan API. It comes to replace the OpenGL. Vulkan is designed to reduce loading on the CPU and more rational usage of GPU. It will open possibilities to run more demanding games on the less productive hardware, or just getting more FPS in existing projects. Unless, developers of these games will implement support for Vulkan in their products.

Google has also made some improvements in power consumption ao the devices and presented mode "Doze on the Go". This feature allows the phone to determine when it is in a bag or pocket, and reduce energy consumption, by shifting the device into low power usage mode.

The new version of the operating system has interoperability with notifications and quick settings which have been modified. For example, all incoming messages are assembled into groups by type of apps. Now you can immediately respond to an incoming notification, without going direct opening of the program.

And at last, the Google has confirmed that the new LG V20 will be the first device is preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
