This is the 13th degree of the York Rite also know are the Royal Arch Mason or Capitular Mason. Capitular means ‘small head.' or 'the head of a bone.' Also can be a reference to a cathedral. This tracing board can be correlated to the "Cranial Vault." The Pillars and Keystone of the arch can be likened to the Styloid bone. The word styloid comes from Greek stylos (στῦλος), which means "pillar." The styloid bone support some of the most important roles/functions of the brain: pituitary, and pineal gland. This could be looked at as the middle pillar which is not in the picture I provided below. The twin pillars can also represent the left and right hemispheres of the brain. The sacred masculine and feminine.
A Keystone (also known as capstone) is the wedge-shaped stone piece at the apex of a masonry arch, or the generally round one at the apex of a vault., allowing the arch or vault to bear weight. This is the Spiritual Alpha, the Highest form of the Self. As shown in the picture below, cancer (can seer- the one who can see) is the heart. The Keystone occulticlly the heart but can be seen in a fractal nature through out the body and the Mind. In the zodiac it is Cancer, which is the sign on the keystone. It is the summit of the metaphysical mountain. The zodiac within is the map or guide for those who seek Self understanding.
The True Alpha Spiritual Hero or Heron (hero in) a heron is also known as a crane, or the cran-ium. The cathedrals can be likened to the brain, The inner temple is show to us through architectural metaphor in the cathedrals.13 is the number of completion and initiation. It could seen as the sun/hero. The peak of the pillars, where the arch/zodiac belt starts is the horizon (zone of Horus). On the right feminine pillar it has the a single caduceus.
The sun rises in Aries (a rise/left brain), and sets in Libra (sits/right brain). The right brain connects to the left side of the body, relation to the heart. The true throne of the Self is in the heart based consciousness. The heart is weighed on the scales of judgement of Libra or against the feather of the Egyptian goddess principle Ma'at. The Keystone is the Key from the first degree tracing board. Libra can also be the kidneys, lower back, lumbar region. We can also see the kabbalistic Tree of Life. The middle path or "Jacobs ladder" Jack; meaning the sun. The ladder is the musical scaling process of the Self awakening journey, "playing life like a fiddle". Through symbolic language, the True Self was referred as the “‘Temple of Solomon” or “Camelot Castle” to symbolize the man who accomplished the Great Work.
The inner secret chamber of the Self. The fornix "vaulted chamber, the archway" in anatomy is the place for the pineal gland. Fornix comes from fornus; "furnace" or we could say where the mind burns. The arch also can be arc or an electric arc, or arc discharge, a luminous bridge formed in a gap between two electrodes. The first spark could be said to reside here in the pineal, it is the "eternal flame" some have said.The primary function of the penile gland is to produce melatonin. Melatonin has various functions in the central nervous system, and the Kundalini (coiled one ) energetic flow. Melatonin production is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light.. So we can see that this is a photo-receptor, and can act as a prism to consciousness. A light-sensing organ you could say. Of course we all know about it's abilities with DMT.
