This is set up like a joke, but sadly it isn't. One only has to take a cursory glance at any socialist or communist nation in history and see how the people were left worse off than they began.
The moral of the story? Government won't fix your problems. Government can't fix your problems. They only have the power to destroy. And then they somehow make you believe that you would be worse off without them even though the opposite is true.
It's a mad world, my friends.
