RE: The Libertarian Lego Movie

in #anarchy7 years ago (edited)

What a great read. We haven't seen the movie yet. What a pity that Bat's undid some of the positive messaging of the first movie. As Pirates, we reject Governments and Big Business control. How is it that the people who can make money out of others misery and happiness should also be the ones to decide what are the causes of peoples misery and happiness are? And how is it that so many far leftists (anti(gonetoo)fa, BAMN and BLM, etc) cannot see that they are often the epitome of fascism. That fascism comes from a desire to control hand in hand with a lack of self-judgement. Sitting as we do in the middle ground we Pirates don't care if it's left or right in power. The pendulum swings back and fore. Crushing many of us as it goes. We believe that extremisim on either end of the political spectrum is THE biggest issue that needs addressed in world politics. We did notice a typo. The Lego Movie is on of the most pro-liberty... also this sentence is missing something perhaps. 'The movie begins with the main character Emmet literally from an instruction manual about how he can be happy and a good member of society.'

Ah! Thanks for spotting the typo. I'll fix it. And thanks for your thoughtful comment. You're so right about those who believe they're fighting against fascism often ironically seem to be the ones favoring greater tyranny.
