While I enjoy the movie I almost think it was made entirely by mistake since Joss Whedon has demonstrated himself politically at least to be VERY pro empire and pro taking away people's freedoms for percieved "greater goods". I do respect Adam Baldwin tho.

    These themes come up over and over in Joss Whedon's work. Serenity is no isolated case.

    You're right about Whedon's political leanings. I think the man is greatly confused...
