Anarchy Community Channel

in #anarchy6 years ago

I just read this post by @schattenjaeger and could not stop thinking about beneficiaries that I completely missed before. Also the comment by @holoz0r.

Beneficiaries offer a great opportunity to finally start replacing the messed up bid-bot system, or at least offer an honest alternative. The idea is to have a community channel that posts selected posts of the community and puts the author as beneficiary. This way the author gets a larger audience (the author may still get their entire usual audience by resteeming their post). The author also gets a guaranteed upvote by the community account.

On the other hand the community account does real manual curation and thereby offers the community the best 12 posts of the day bundled through only one account to follow. As compensation they take a small share of the payout. Initially since the community account will have a small following and steem, this should probably be around 95% author, 5% community account or so. Then the account can grow naturally from there and hopefully be a success.

This is especially great for newcomers that produce great content. Currently starting on steem is painful. You have to wait until you grow some followers and get "discovered" or resteemed by some more famous member. Now everyone can submit to the community channel and directly reach an audience, given that they make quality content.

I think this is a great opportunity for steem, but it does not happen on its own. Therefore I made this post. I am interested in contributing to making this a reality for the anarchy community here on steem. What I need is more people interested in supporting this. Ways to contribute are technical realisation, curation, delegating steem to the comunity account and many more. Or just following the community account once it is there.

If you are interested in this or have good ideas, please leave a comment. Also please resteem this post if you think we need a better alternative to promotion by bidbots. Good promotion always requires curation and currently this aspect is completely missing, but we finally have the tools to fight back.

This is a good idea but I want to know details if your start this plan.

Thanks for tagging me so I could see this.

Our local tribe of steem users are thinking of how we can use such a model to help our creators. The model is similar to my other comment, but is just a theory.

Remind me to let you know how it goes. :)

I think it's a great idea! We have a page in the works yet? I'd like to follow it when it gets going.

@frdem3dot0 Thank you for not using bidbots on this post and also using the #nobidbot tag!
