I like this, especially the masters and servants thing you mentioned. Humans are biologically born to be leaders or followers, as are many other animals, and it is true that this has led to the creation of dictatorial leadership in countries, but this biology that we have doesn't have to be taken to that level. For some people, absolute freedom lies within working for a leader of which they are happy to obey because they know that the leader will mutually support them, and for others, absolute freedom lies within governing others not only for their benefit, but for the benefit of the governed. Do you see the difference between this and something such as a forceful dictatorship? Even though there are natural leaders and followers, the relationship between the two must remain neutral in order to function properly. Just something you made me think about :)
If "governed" then it is not a voluntary interaction. "Governing" is the exercise of monopoly on violence. I threaten what I will do to you if you do not obey my rule. The only civilized way of coexisting is through consensus. Anyone who wants to "govern" is a sociopath and should be the last to be considered as a leader. I do not see working for someone to be correct... I want agreements beneficial for both sides. I need idea creators just as much as they needs my skills to make the project possible. We agree voluntarily on what we want. Just like all the healthy people do. Politicians are always exempted from rules of basic civilisation. This "cream" is mouldy. Through indoctrination we don't find it strange, but if anyone else came to our door with a gun, took our money, paid for what he wants... even if they give us back 10% later on... That would be a sociopath right? Authority is based on ridiculous double standards and hypocrisy.
