Ever heard of Cody Wilson?

This dude uses technology to stick his middle finger up to those in charge. The crypto anarchist designed and 3d printed a working gun. To rub it in further Cody Wilson created with a group of friends the organisation Wikileaks for Guns aka Defence Distributed. Their main ambition, to provide details on how you can print and make your very own gun.

The liberator was spawned, a single shot hand gun that was downloaded over 100'000 times before the department of state demanded them to take it down. The files are still available online but not from the original source Defence Distributed.

Cody's most recent project is far more scary. Producing a tool that takes 3 hours to print an assault rifle one of the most popular in America, the AR-15. He also has made it his mission to produce and supply 3d printed parts for the AR-15 such as the magazine.

Cody even had his printer seized and uploaded a humorous video asking the parcel collectors if they knew why. Creating parts that are 3d printable makes it difficult for the government to ban springs and magazines. Is this guy a hero or villain? Fighting daily for Americas rights to bare arms he believes he is doing the right thing. The reality is what he's doing is controversial and is a fascinating figure changing our prospective on right and wrong. Technology advances daily. 3d printing only grows more popular. Should they be stopped?
