Creating conscious, sovereign communities: How can it be done?

We live in a world of increasing chaos.

We live in a world where the authority of some, clashes with the freedom of most.

And in this world, the majority of us humans live in cities.

Some examples of clashing authority are: P..O.L.I.C.E. , corporations who buy up public space, and numerous other industries and groups that degrade human dignity and profit from it.

We live in cities where the homeless are not housed, the hungry are not fed, and the angry calls for justice are answered with violent force, or they are ignored.

We live in cities where transportation is often inadequate, and free energy is suppressed.

We live in cities where judges can be corrupt, where humans can be imprisoned like rabid animals, and education costs money that most don't have, forcing many to get loans that they won't be able to pay.

Public services are often inadequate, and government is not always transparent.

Some of us live in cities that deny us the right to grow gardens in our own front yard

In these cities, occupants are often required to obey laws that they don't agree with, simply because city hall is a private corporation and these laws are enforced by heavily armed police who have the legal right to throw them in cages.

But what if this could change?

What if we could take back our cities, a couple blocks at a time?

What if we could create a city within a city?

Is it possible that a section or space within a city can be declared as a sovereign community SEPARATE from the governance of the city, yet still existing within it and with it?

I believe that it is possible.

How?

What if many of us living within the same community could buy up the majority of properties in that area and then draft a proclamation of communal independence and divergence from unnecessary law, collectively signed by all who occupy this area, and all owners of properties within the area?

Meaning that we would agree only to follow necessary laws but reject certain laws that conflict with the freedom of our communities inhabitants, such as certain minor bylaws and zoning regulations, as well as laws that work against progress such as anti-drug laws.

This would essentially become a sovereign community because the inhabitants of this community would create the communities own laws and allow it to govern its own self, as well as create and transform the area without restriction.

We could potentially reject authoritarian tyranny by having our communities own sovereign protection force that would protect residents from all dangers INCLUDING police.

We would have our own court, and we would have loose zoning regulations to allow for adaption and transformation of properties public and private.

This would eliminate the ever looming threat of corporate monopolistic expansion, and create a more in depth, human community.

These communities could develop their own schools and universities, potentially free of charge.

We could also have large community gardens open to all, thriving off of the idea of permaculture.

Complaints and thoughts on the potential of improvement could be sent to the communal court, and meetings including the entire community would be held to decide what would be done.

These communities would operate from a sense of inclusion.

All homeless people across the entire city could send in a formal report as to why they should be accepted into the communities rehabilitation and education program.

All of these things could exist, and more.

Because when we take money out of politics, we see true democracy.

These communities - obviously - would have to come into existence only by the agreement and cooperation of the city and if necessary, state and federal departments.

If we could create such communities ( spaces where restriction of any kind is limited) we could create zones of thriving, living art and innovation.

These areas would become hyper-productive and would attract many tourists.

We could even set these areas up as no car zones, meaning that in order to enter the area, cars would need to be parked.

This would create a pedestrian friendly habitat where foot traffic via underground tunnels, linking building tunnels and transportation such as sky trains and subways could eliminate the need for buses.

we could essentially create a thriving metropolis oasis within an entirely contrasting surrounding city.

Its an amazing idea, and hopefully it will gain some traction in the future.

I'd like to hear your opinion in the comments below. Discussion is most definatley encouraged.

What do you think about this idea? Do you think it is feasible? What do you think it would look like?

Where, in your opinion, is the evolution of the modern day city going?

What will future cities look like?

P.S. - Thank you for reading this article and thank you to all of my consistent followers.

I'd love to know how we can further engage as a community.

Peace, love and prosperity.
