Central Banks Lie.....

in #anarchy7 years ago

......and that's the truth.

We constantly hear that the central banks just can't seem to achieve their arbitrary 2% inflation rate. I wonder why?

Could it be that prices just aren't rising as fast as the bankers would like?

Or is it because they just can't seem to devalue the currency fast enough to achieve said arbitrary rate?

Neither.

If we were told the REAL rate of inflation, people would realize the banks have been instituting an invisible tax aimed at depleting the wealth of the citizens penny by penny, and dollar by dollar. Those who pay attention can see this on a day by day basis. All you have to do is pay attention and look.

Here is a prime example we found today. It's small and easy to overlook, but this is how it works.
Today's find was liquid hand soap. Most who buy it would not give this a second thought, but that is by design as you are instructed to only look at the "New Handle for Easy Pourability", thereby overlooking the reduction in product from 1.89 litres to 1.65 liters. A 12.69% increase in cost to the consumer. Ya, there's no inflation.

If you start looking, you will see this happening everywhere with almost everything. But beware, your attention will be diverted at the precise moment in time to keep you from realizing you're being taken.......not TO the bank, but BY the bank!

Enjoy your weekend, and shop carefully!

No, they do not fool us..we were born on a day, but it wasn't yesterday! And both Jack and I always, always, always notice the "size smaller" and what it "used to be" and what it is now....! good article, my friend!! xo

Thanks😊

I'm late to the mark to upvote the post itself, but I can get this comment above dust anyway! 😉

Many thanks🙂

They have been doing this to products for years. Any time the bottom of a bottle has a deep lump inside the bottle so it looks like more product than it is, any time the amount of product is a really odd number, I automatically assume they've cut back from what it used to be, even if I was not familiar with the product before. They assume people are shopping distracted and won't notice.

You're right.
We often see products on sale with some sort of indication that they will no longer be sold.....only to find out they are now in new packaging with less product. Yup, there's no inflation. Believe what the central bankers tell you!

Hello, you are right, here in VENEZUELA Despite the harsh criticism received by the central bank's policy, in this crisis, "although they reject any responsibility," few doubt the need for this institution. And this, despite the fact that the origin of the current financial crisis lies in monetary policy. Make up the figures and never inform us of the real rates of inflation, and that example that you put gives us the vision of what we are actually living, deceptive offers that help us to entertain us and forget that inflation is drowning us and all for their bad practices, and also for the silent theft of our capitals. It is my humble opinion, before the masterful writing that you share today. Greetings in the distance. @brimax

Well said. My understanding of the situation in Venezuela is that inflation is out of control and you need a lot of paper to buy a few things.

Greetings, if you are right, we are on the verge of a civil war, we no longer get food, the little we get is in a value that is unattainable for us, but ignorance kills the people, since this unfortunate government still has followers They say they do not mind starving to keep the legacy of a madman who was the previous president. And really thanks to people like you and your family, who have helped us bring a plate of food to our table, We have not humiliated ourselves more than what we have, my children have started to leave the country, as it hurts, however at my age it is difficult to start again. I'm still in the struggle to recover my country from these rubbish that govern us. Thank you very much for all your support and that of your lady. receive a greeting in the distance. @brimax

hello brother @brimax. When reading your entire publication I understand perfectly your discomfort in terms of inflation and that the product has less quantity than the other and it costs more, since here in Venezuela something similar happens daily but I could say that here is worse. Here in Venezuela daily the products of the basic food basket go up in price (every day is a new price), there is no fixed price for the products, something that costs you today an amount, tomorrow costs up to twice as much. And this happens also for the same merchants who take advantage of the situation of the country, the lack of cash, since most things are bought with debit or credit cards and of course they buy the products for their expensive businesses too every week, but nevertheless, they still put the price they want to things and one as buyer realizes because in a supermarket one soap costs you a price, while in another the same soap costs you another price, to which take this, that there is no price freeze in the country, then sell at the price they want to get more money into your pocket. Here in the country the inflation is through the clouds and I think it is one of the highest in the world, so as long as inflation continues and the rulers do nothing, we will continue going through the same annoyance that you have spent with the purchase of that liquid soap for hands, but of course I think it must also be for the banks, especially the central bank of venezuela, which is the one that manages the government.

It really is sad to hear what is happening in Venezuela Brother. Stay strong and persevere!

I will have a market post out shortly..central banks (and commercials) covering shorts in the metals and buying bigtime.. EXCELLENT POST>

Thank you Brother.

Hello friend how are you, @ perlanacada and @ alejo1996 already say the situation of Venezuela, I only add on my part that the government is ending up with the banks, the sample that you give us soap hands that make a more beautiful handle so that call attention and so they buy that happens in my country the government deceives the inhabitants offering to keep them away from the real situation, yesterday they intervened one of the most important banks because they want to take over the money that send from outside those who have achieved leave the country and still have your family here
Thank you for this example that you give us to understand what governments do to us

Thanks as always for stopping by🙂

2% inflation en Venezuela somos un desastre @brimax

Disguise things or change the presentation and those things to take advantage and increase the price, I think governments are the worst I do not know how bad people come to power people hungry for more and increasingly want more and harm us.

Greetings to all at home

Thanks for your comments, and greetings to you!

Hello Friend how are you? this is a serious problem here in my country the inflation is consuming us every day the products have a different price and more and more something this is crazy and the government says we are good

Governments ALWAYS lie

This is called Shrinkflation, take a look at a comparison from 2014 to 2018.

Looking at a drop in producy and a rise in prices which the USSA inflation calculator ignores.

Glad to see you feel that your comment was worthy of an upvote from you, but my post was not. As you can see by looking above your comment, those who feel my posts are worthy of their upvote and comments are rewarded. Those who feel that only their comments should be rewarded are not.
