Not trying to be argumentative here, but the 2nd amendment can not protect you. The 2nd was dead the very first time they made a gun law. Having a permit is an infringement having a clip size limit and the list goes on. But yes, you using those guns sure could protect your kids! My point it you having the gun is what can protect your kids not what people wrote on paper hundreds of years ago.
