Her sister is even a physician. And her sister and mother had breast cancer.

When she was eventually diagnosed, she chose to do cleanses, homeopathy, and other expensive alternatives instead of conventional treatment. She thought she just needed to eat well, sleep well, and rid her body of "toxins".

The cancer spread.

She eventually started to get conventional treatment.
