cant steemit simply disable the option for you to vote orr anyone to vote on a post until the fifteen minute period is over. when I look through posts I look through the new section at posts that have not yet received curation and are being overshadowed by the hot and trending posts of the rich and famous. but I guess that doesn't matter. ill just stop upvoting myself and not promote until after a half hour from post etc.

thanks for your comment. I think it would be easier to update the UI and disable the option, but as this is a critical change and already in the blockchain code, the code also needs to be changed or other DAPPs might not implement the change
