9/11 the greatest fairy story ever told

Once upon a time 19 box-cutter wielding Arabs high-jacked four Boeing passenger jets in the most special and exceptional country in the whole wide world.
Two of the planes zig-zagged their way across America to the most famous city in the world and then crashed into 2 of the highest skyscrapers on the planet and made them fall to the ground in under 12 seconds. The falling debris hit another skyscraper (52 stories) 150 metres away and caused some office fires which also made that steel framed skyscraper fall to the ground in 11 seconds. The world was astonished and terror struck all at the same time.
The clever pilot of another one of the jets managed a feat so spectacular that it has never been repeated before or since. Somehow he skimmed metres above the ground without hitting anything, OR - wait for it - even being sighted, folded up the wings and then crashed into the Pentagon, the most fortified building on the planet without leaving any debris from the plane! It was even more astonishing because this "talented" pilot had failed his exams to fly a little Cessna plane a few weeks earlier, but hey .... amazing what a bit of luck and homework can achieve.
The fourth plane failed to crash into anything because the brave passengers somehow managed to overcome the high-jackers and for the first time EVER, crashed into a field and left a small crater without leaving any wreckage larger than a matchbox. We know this is so because the brave passengers managed to call people on the ground from their mobile phones despite the fact mobile phone technology to make such calls from airliners hadn't been developed then.
It was such a shame that the defence forces who were supposed to be protecting this very special land, were all off busy playing war games and didn't get back in time to stop the evil Arab terrorists carry out their dastardly deeds.
The leader of the country was such a sweet, gentle family loving man that he just couldn't tear himself away from telling a story about some goats to some sweet little kids in a kindergarten class - he really just couldn't do it and let them down despite his country being under attack. The country's collective heart was warmed by his caring concern.
It was so comforting too that the leaders didn't want the people to have nightmares or be upset by looking at the wreckage, so they decided to clean up everything the very next day and had all the steel shipped off immediately to be recycled to one of those third world countries.
And how lucky were they not to have to take months planning a war to get revenge on those bad, nasty people hiding in caves across the other side of the world ... they were all ready to go and pay them back a couple of days later.
WOW, what a story! In fact it is the biggest fairy tale ever told except the fairies were not really fairies - they were actually pure evil demonic monsters who fooled the world then and are still fooling them now .
