Americans are Lazy

Americans are becoming the most lazy species on the planet. This laziness is being affected by outside sources. Our laziness as a whole is starting to come to a critical point. There are a few reasons for this.

Part of this laziness is due to lack of discipline. Children have no discipline in this day and age. Reasons range from laws changing, to public opinion. America is evolving into something scary.

I'm sure we have all heard our parents or grandparents talk about getting a switch off of the tree when they were kids. In the 80s, teachers had paddles in their rooms to spank the kids. In the 90s, laws started to be put into place to protect children. These laws were taken to an extreme.

Nowadays it is thought of as Criminal to punish your children if they don't listen. Children will tell someone at school that the parent spanked them, and get the parents in trouble. The child, or the school will often times even call the police.

This makes some children feel as if they are invincible. When they get into their teenage years, they think they can do whatever they want. There is nothing the parent can do to them. The parent may try to make them do chores, go to their room, etc. They can tell the parent "NO", and there is nothing that can be done about it.

The youth is starting to take these skills that they've learned at a young age out into the real world. They respect and listen to their employers just as they did with their parents. They feel that they don't have to do anything and nothing can be done to them.

Another Factor affecting the laziness of Americans is the way the youth is being taught to socialize. They no longer have to go outside to socialize with their friends.

When some of us were younger, if we wanted to socialize with our friends we had to go outside or invite people over. We would have parties, go bowling, play basketball, Etc. This has all come to an end.

Nowadays socializing means being on social media. Video games have taken the place of board games. Outdoor basketball courts and the baseball fields have become deserted. America is becoming lazy.

If we do not find a way to correct this problem, our future looks scary. I see no way to fix it, but something must be done. If something doesn't change soon, we're screwed.

Please comment with your ideas and help me spread this message. I'm sure some people have some good ideas. I just see what's happening but i have no idea how to fix it. And this is why America is getting lazy.
