Galangal can be planted in areas with a height of 1-1.200 meters above sea level. The Sundanese used to call it by the name of laja.

We know 2 types of galangal, namely red galangal and white galangal. White galangal is commonly used as a flavoring dish, red galangal can be used as traditional medicines.

Galangal efficacious to treat rheumatism, panu, spleen pain, morbili, arousing sex, bronchitis and increase appetite.
