AMD Graphics Out of Stock or Over priced
With the recent increase in the prices of crypto currencies like ethereum, zcash, ethereum classic, monero, etc - specially GPU mineable onces the demand for AMD Graphics have increased significantly. Most online stores like amazon, newegg, etc are either out of stock or extremely overpriced.
New Egg says RX470s are Out of Stock
While the available RX480s are Extremely Over Priced nearly 2.5x the original price. I few months back these RX480s were priced in the range of $200 to $260.
Same is the story on Amazon
As a result of which, AMD shares rose as much as 7% during Tuesday after the company revealed that the dramatic jump in cryptocurrency prices is driving demand for its graphics cards. The stock was the top performer in the S&P 500 on the day. AMD is one of the market's best performing stocks in the past year with its shares up nearly 170 percent in the past 12 months. So many people are trying to get in on the crypto train - I just hope their investment pays off in the end or they stick with it long term. Some people may not get the results they want and totally give up on crypto.
I cant say about other coins but if you are into ethereum, you will certainly get your investment back...

Now that AMD cards are hard to get, Nvidia Cards will also get sold out quick. Its not that Nvidia cards are inefficient but its the cost - Nvidia are more costlier than AMD cards- thats why price per watt performance point of view AMD won the race. But now that the price of AMD has gone up people will have no alternative than to go for NVidia.
