Amazon is not entering the NYC market. The plans to build a 2nd headquarters on Long Island were scraped.

This was wildly applauded by progressive political leaders including AOC.

The feeling was a bit different by the real estate brokers in the area. Many said that clients called them to discuss pending deals that were in the works. One broker, who did not have any deals pending on Long Island, said it is going to be chaos.

Many of the business leaders feel this points to a larger picture. New York City could be gaining the reputation as non-business friendly.
