Survey Demonstrates Interest in Potential Amazon.com Cryptocurrency
A survey was recently published by LendEDU that demonstrates that shoppers would be open to using a cryptocurrency created by Amazon to shop online! The community is still anxiously waiting for a major online retailer to announce support for cryptocurrencies although most experts know that it may be detrimental to most of the networks and the technology available today due to limited scalability and potential transaction fees. However, given the technology behind a Company like Amazon through its massive scale within the AWS ecosystem, it would be interesting to see them entertain this possibility.
The survey supports that more than half of respondents would be open to using an Amazon created currency. The figure approaches 60% of Amazon Primer customers. The Company has been closely followed by the community as they have registered interesting domain names associated with some cryptocurrencies in the past.
