Why Run Giveaways on Amazon?

I wanted to share a quick bit of insight I've learned over the past couple weeks in regards to selling product on Amazon. We have been utilizing Amazon to help augment our sales for a few months now and have been very pleased with the results. Getting customers to see and view your product on Amazon is the first step to get the sale, and often the most difficult. We have identified a way to get a lot of new eyes to your products via Amazon Giveaways. If you have not yet ran a giveaway on Amazon, you should consider it. Here's why:

Low costs: The only cost that you have is the Retail price of the item you want to give away
Volume: Lots of new eyes on your brand, including clicks to your product pages and brand page
Various requirement options to enter: For example, follow on twitter, watch a youtube video, follow on Amazon, answer a poll, watch a short video, or follow an author.
No touch: After you set up the giveaway, Amazon does the rest for you. They even ship the items to winners and fulfill everything on your behalf (Must be FBA).
We have ran three giveaways in the past few weeks and each time we have tried something a little bit different:

Giveaway #1: Requirement was to follow @arvowear on twitter. We had 2756 entrants and new twitter followers

Giveaway #2: Requirement was to tweet a preloaded message I created about Arvo's holiday sales. We had 10,114 entrants and new traffic to sales.

Giveaway #3 (Currently live): Requirement is to watch a minimum of 30 seconds of one of our Youtube videos. We already have 30,039 views and entrants and still have 4 days remaining. These views actually count on your youtube page!

If you are selling on Amazon, you should give this a shot and let me know how it goes. In my experience in the ecommerce space, this is a very affordable way to increase engagement and drive awareness to your Amazon products and brand in general.
