Amazon has gained the power to recognize faces now, and they're cooperating with police in Florida to bring this to the state's police force.
It can find human AND non-human objects such as cars, whether their faces are showing or not. It can mark the path of objects' movements as well.
Knowing Amazon, they run large data centers and artificial intelligence technology. So expect this, if carried out, to be used by the police force and enforced to prevent crimes from happening in the first place.
Who knows, maybe it will connect to our shopping accounts too? It's unknown how this will affect people that want to remain private in their lives.
