Amazing Nature Contest by @adalger - February 2020 - 04 - Hail

in #amazingnature4 years ago

Hello my nature lovers. This week I bring you a video about our amazing nature since in pictures you could not appreciate what I show you.

On Monday I was surprised by a rain that fell on the town while I was working and I immediately thought it was a hailstorm as it was indeed.

Hail is an amazing weather phenomenon. It consists of a dry rain, without water, which failing ice falls. There are many reasons why this type of rain is generated. One is because of the type of cloud that is created and another is because of the cold-hot weather that is in the environment. After a good while the normal rain begins.

Here in Colombia it is very frequent to see a hailstorm since it rains a lot. This amazing rain catches the attention of adults and children. Seeing ice fall from the sky is not normal but it is beautiful and exciting. The consequences are not very serious, only when it falls on a planting. If it falls on a strawberry crop they will get ugly, with blackheads and will not be attractive for sale. If it falls on a crop of onions it will also harm the plant and could even miss that crop.

If it falls on your head it could hurt you less, not because of the size of the ice but because of the amount that falls on you and believe me that it is abundant. Anyway it is an amazing phenomenon from every point of view.

Amazing nature is a contest that takes @adalger in which I invite you to participate any day of the week and talk about any topic of extensive nature, You can enter his post here:

We also don't get hail often here at the coast, but when it arrives one does tend to worry about the damage it can cause, a wonderful natural phenomenon.

Having grown up inland where hail the size of golf-balls are known to fall most ran for cover to avoid being battered and bruised.

Thanks for sharing your life events.

Thank you my friend @joanstewart is an amazing and dangerous phenomenon, we should take forecasts but you never know when it will fall and here it is very often. Thanks for comment.

Ohh wow, a hail ! I never believed that those are possible in Venezuela. This for sure you can not capture properly in a pucture ^^ .. Here in in the norther and also western regions of europe they are actually seen several times a year. It can be very painful if you are caught in one out of the sudden. Good you were staying inside 😁 those ice particles can get as large as a tennis ball 🎾❄️😫🤕

Friend @adalger in Venezuela you also see that phenomenon in the part of mountains where snow also falls but it is very difficult to see since it happens for a few hours nothing more.
