From the small seeds I planted in the warm Spring earth, little seedlings emerged and they grew and they grew mighty tall and beautiful.

There are many varieties of sunflowers but the super tall ones are my favorite.
In the above photo the stalk was approximately 7 feet high.

Placing little seeds in ground and carefully adding a little soil over them and with the warmth from the sun and the moisture from the rain amazing beautiful Sunflowers are bringing joy and provision.

At the end of the growing season successfully pollinated sunflowers have produced hundreds of seeds.
They can be dried, saved and replanted.

The birds, squirrels and chipmunks do most of the harvesting here at my cabin before I get the opportunity to.

🐝 Sunflowers also attract and benefit the pollinators.
There are two different bees on the sunflower in the above photo.
The one on the left looks like a Bumblebee. The other one I think is a hornet.
