List of altcoins keeping up with Bitcoin record setting pace....Shifting from looking at USD value to BTC value...Lets see who's keeping up

in #altcoins7 years ago (edited)

As investors, traders, and speculators look for yield or quick Return on Investment (ROI), Bitcoin often tops the list of possible investment along with stocks, indices, commodity or investment funds. Bitcoin as a financial alternative is relative new compared to the other traditional investment opportunity listed above. It has just celebrated its 9th anniversary and has galvanize a cryptocurrency ecosystem with a market capitalization of over 180 Billion USD strong. Today 1 BTC would cost you at present market price $6526.67 USD enjoying a 1 year price increase of +$5,826.35 USD and staggering +805.08% on year growth. In fact very few if any investment instrument can provide that kind of return. As this ecosystem continues to grow and become mainstream I believe its prudent that we start analyzing possible investment opportunities that are actually keeping up with the BTC value.

Here is a list of coins that are actually keeping up with BTC rise that includes the likes of Bitshares, EOS, Golem, Bitcoin Cash, Etc

These list of coins base on descending market cap value goes as follow Bitcoin Cash, Bitconnect, EOS, Golem, Bitshares, Status, Syscoin, Veritaseum, Verge, Groestlcoin, GXShares, Pura, Loopring, FairCoin and Rise. Some of these coins are well known names that have actual products and others are in the process of getting their actual product release. Depending on your financial threshold and risk appetite, these projects are certainly worth exploring, as usual I encourage everyone to do their own due diligence and invest accordingly. What makes this list interesting, everyone stands a chance, projects like Bitshares that has an actual product goes at present market price of 6 cent USD. A 50 USD investment could really change or significantly alter your life opportunity in 4 or 5 years time. Other exciting projects like EOS are currently price under 1 USD, and Golem is less than 30 cents, so everyone can participate in this market.

While I encourage everyone to have some exposure to BTC as its without doubt the King, diversifying into some of these projects and others can only help further enhance your financial freedom. Here is a list of these same coins in their present USD value.

Always remember that investment into any of these projects carry significant risk and returns are never guaranteed but taking note of trends and market sentiment can help position yourself to make significant returns. While this list looks strictly at coins/ token keeping up with the BTC pace, there are other projects that offer great returns but the recent price action haven't caught up with the BTC pace.

This showed us what is beating bitcoin over a single day and is very useful.

The table is quickly available to all on coinmarketcap.org.

I wonder if it is possible to find the winners over longer periods, like a week or a month? You can’t really draw a conclusion from just 1 day. It’s too random.

you can actually monitor the percentage change with the link right to the bottom of the post, and right next the 24h change your have the graph of a 7 day period reflecting the price action...the list is actually very consistent throughout the 7 day period...So you can actually compare the BTC price action of a 7 day period with those mention, I did not select any special one, their price action earn that spot...

than you. , is there a way to compare 1 month price chsanges?

you can see their one month volume with this link https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/volume/monthly/
but there isn't a way to see their graph for 1 month unless you click on them one by one and analyse it using the BTC value rather than USD for example, EOS/BTC or BTS/BTC rather than EOS/USD or BTS/USD....well I hope this answers your question

Thank you @daudimitch. The volume is interesting to see where the action is over the last month. It’s going to be a little longer to check 800+ alt coins one-by-one for the most relative performance. In practice it would be wise to look at only the top 30 or so by volume. Unfortunately there is at least one in the top 10 whose bubble will pop soon due to being a scam, so it would also need a little due diligence to avoid that kind of thing.

Great points all around. Listening to you on the discord at the same time as reading this.

Awesome...well thanks for taking the time to entertain my thoughts
