Building Lasting Wealth with Altcoins: 5 Tips for Success

in #altcoins6 years ago

To build long-term wealth with altcoins, you first need to understand what they are and how they work. This article examines methods that can help maximize your altcoin investments.

Understanding Altcoins

In simple terms, an altcoin is an alternative digital currency to bitcoin. These currencies are developed on the back of bitcoin's success and are projected often as a more attractive token to bitcoin.

Like bitcoin, these currencies are traded via online exchanges such as Poloniex. Two high profile altcoins which you may have heard of are Ripple and Ethereum.

Building Long-Term Wealth With Altcoins

What steps can you take to build wealth via altcoin investments? Here are a few:

(1) Do the research. You must analyze altcoins before investing in them. There is no way around this. You have to be realistic about your expectations. You are most likely not going to find an altcoin that will deliver immediate success.

However, when you find an altcoin with potential, you then need to do your homework on it. Find out who the team members are and communicate with them. Analyze the coin's price history, its potential market size, and its adoption rate.

Do not pick an altcoin just for the sake of it. Be clever and pick a winner. Do your homework first. When you are confident and have an understanding of the altcoin, make your move.

(2) Stay away from Reddit. Reddit does not offer legitimate investing advice. As with any investment forum, you should take everything you read with a grain of salt.

It is easy to get caught up in Reddit's hype about a new ICO or altcoin. Remember, to invest successfully you will be ultimately be betting against the market. In other words, when the other investors get it wrong, you need to be right.

(3) Do not invest everything you have. This may seem obvious, but it is important not to go "all in" when investing in altcoins. It is easy to get caught up in the hype, especially when you hear the success stories of outlandish returns.

It is best to allocate a certain percentage of your investments in altcoins and resist the urge to exceed that percentage. Look at New Finance as just one piece of your overall investment portfolio. The bulk of your investing should be in traditional investments such as bonds and stocks.

(4) Remember, it is a marathon, not a sprint. Most likely there will be a few bumps in the road. However, if you can see the potential in your investment and you have your eye on the long-term prize, your chances of building long-term wealth will improve.

(5) Accept that the market is unpredictable. It is impossible to predict how any market will behave. Were that not the case, we would all be millionaires. The altcoin market is even more unpredictable than traditional markets.

You can, however, control how you respond to certain market changes. Control your emotions and do not have a knee-jerk reaction that will affect your investments and long-term plan.

What To Take Away

Keep your head, do your research, and when you find the right opportunity, go for it. Trust your judgment and be confident in your decisions. Research and analyze altcoins until you feel you have a real handle on the market.

Any popular and useful crypto that allows staking is great for generating last ing wealth. Even bitcoin is good for that if you're willing to lend it out on exchanges.

Gold is in altcoins because transfert cost and duration is Killing the bitcoin.
In my opinion, bitcoin will be used only for large operation and altcpoin for daily use, like paiment services

Everything here is right. One thing I regretted (which was not mentioned here) was jumping boats because of FOMO. When I was starting in crypto trading, I did research about the background of the coin before buying. However, because of shallow faith, I tend to sell my coins when there is a bumpy road and buy the coins which already rose. I thought that this is the best way to earn money. I was totally wrong. I didn't know that commonly, after a bull run, a correction will follow. That's when I lost a lot of money. Anyways, I learned a lot from my mistakes and still continually learning through my day trading experience.

There's a few really promising coins out there & i personally do i think most the coins in the top 15 have massive potential in the future, my only tip is just checkout the websites, read the whitepaper for each coin, if its something u believe in give it a try, just don't invest everything into one coin spread your portfolio over a few coins to minimise the risk & don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

Very informative post for any newbie traders, altcoins can either make you a lot or money or take up and leave you dry.

Number 3 is spot on. No matter how much you believe in a coin, never invest more money than you are willing to lose.

Stay away with ripple either. It's obviously a slave's coin. 100% bank owned. For payment ltc, dApp eth and community smart.

So true. Research is extremely important in all kinds of investment. Without proper research we are no different from a blind person trying to cross a busy highway and we all know where that is going. Also people with weak heart and knee shouldn't even think of playing the stock market game, more so the crypto market. Thanks for these wonderful advice. Have a pleasant day.
