I think it is important that coins are broken down and categorised to make it easier for investors. For example when you invest in the stock market you can search companies by industry/product etc.

At present in the crypto market, it appears to investors that altcoins are just coins that want to be bitcoin when that isn't the case at all. Most altcoins are looking at completely different use cases from bitcoin.
