What is the future of Dogecoin?

With the difference of the other Cryptocurrencies in the market, Dogecoin hasn't stopped to decrease its value, even getting the minimum historic value per token.

Some experts say that is because Dogecoin has been 18 months without any update at all, but it is also because the competitors in the market of crypto currencies have increased radically in these years.

Jackson Palme, one of the most important creators of Dogecoin have said that the currency has stopped its development and it does not make a good future for it.

The data available since 20 of October of 2015 shows that no one has made modifications in the algorithm and from the beginning of that year the contributions have stopped, the commercialized volume has decreased with the time in a ridiculous way

Many experts think these is because many people have to start to use new platforms like Monero or Ethereum which gives better services and are more complex, but it is also a problem because the rewards of Dogecoin have been reduced and the Dogecoin mining has less and less profitability every time.

Can Dogecoin die?

I do not want to extend that question, the answer is YES, of course, a currency can die, in the worst scenario everybody could stop to use the currency and it will make it worthless.

But in the case of Dogecoin, the developments want to keep the network working as always if there are still people interested in participating in the project
