According to the blog post, the foundation provided a platform and created a channel for the community and interested parties to receive the latest information through a 12-hour live broadcast. The foundation distributed "a small TRX number during the 12-hour live broadcast so that members of the TRON community could test the different characteristics of the main TRON network," he says.

As Cointelegraph previously reported, the move to the independent network will test TRON's claims as a competitor to Ethereum by providing a basic public layer blockchain platform that supports the development of decentralized applications (DApp).
