Sure. Ripple and Stellar just went through amazing rises. But bigger stories can be found in the lower part of the market cap list.

According to coinmarketcap.com, the little-known Dentacoin exploded 105% in less than 24hrs around January 7th, 2018. BLOCKv and ZClassic jumped 79% and 76% respectively. I bet you didn't know those coins. Yeah, neither did I.

Just like in the stock market, the smaller the coins (or companies), the more volatile. That can be very good, or very bad for the average investor (or speculator). But if you have been paying attention to the news, you will probably be better equipped to hit a home run.

So go ahead and skip the first twenty lines in coinmarketcap.com - go for the smaller, sneakier, and potentially juicier coins.
