In a way, I agree with you. However, it's hard to tell the long term potential of this currency. Regardless of how cheap it is now, it is still a big gamble that rests solely on the subjective value users place on it. I think the convenience of the system and the social media platform of Steemit will ultimately make its value increase, but that is merely specualtion with no solid longish term evidence to extrapolate from.
