Tomorrow, I will post my final effort for The Seven Day Black And White Challenge. I've enjoyed taking part in the challenge so much that I've decided to set myself another little challenge,..... to which I'd like to extend an invitation to you all to join me. :)
Anyone at all can take part in this challenge, whether you're a traditional or digital artist, a photographer, poet, songwriter or any other kind of creative type. Even if you don't think of yourself as a creative person, this could be the challenge for you. :)
It's as easy as A, B, C,
which is why I've called it....
The Alphabet Art Challenge
Each day, for a total of 26 days, I will post an original work of art to my blog on steemit. It might be a drawing, a painting, a poem, a photo, a short story, or any other form of artistic expression I choose.
The first days post will be something beginning with the letter A. The next day, I will produce an original piece of work beginning with the letter B and I will progress onto the next letter each day until I have produced my final original work beginning with the letter Z, on day 26.
It couldn't be any easier! :)
But, if I miss a day, it's back to the beginning!!! :(
My own reason for this challenge is that I have a tendency to start things and not finish them. :(
It may seem a simple challenge on the surface but twenty six consecutive days is a long time and I understand how life can get in the way of the best laid plans, so I am under no illusions that I will definitely complete my own challenge. At least not the first time. :)

That sounds like it could be fun! I may have to give it a shot, as I am also not very good at following through with things I start. I tend to blame it on the fact that I work full time and have two children, but that's certainly not my biggest problem.

I know exactly where you're coming from mate and you're right to get your excuses in first as it could be a hard slog to finish this challenge. :) Really glad you'll be taking part @thatsweeneyguy. I'm going to start my challenge on Wednesday but feel free to start your own whenever suits. I'll keep an eye out for your posts. :)

I'd like to get started as early as Wednesday, but something like this may take a bit of planning 😅 Maybe I'll take the challenge literally, and use this as a chance to finally show off some of my calligraphy skills. I can't draw much, but old English lettering has always been a hobby of mine
As long as it follows the theme of the challenge, any form of expression is welcome and I actually wrote a post a while back about the modern neglect of traditional skills such as handwriting, (handwriting specifically as it was a handwritten post. :)) so I look forward to seeing your posts and would imagine there would be a good deal of improvement over 26 days as well. :)

Penmanship was always a big deal to me, and to this day, it's pointed out very often that I "write like a girl", but my response is always the same. "You can read it though, right?" 😁
Just spent the last half hour or so doing my old English A, and colored the background aqua green, taking pictures of each step. This is gonna be fun!
:) I've been told this myself many a time but never had the good fortune of being able to formulate such a clever response. I usually just say, ''Shut the F**K up!! :)

I'm glad it has given you the inspiration to start making some more posts, my friend. This is part of the reason I'm doing it for myself also and I had hoped it would serve as inspiration for anyone who struggles with what to post, like myself and clearly now yourself, so that makes me really glad that I finally decided to post it. I've had the idea for a few weeks now but knew that when I pushed that 'post' button it would mean a big commitment, so I've been hesitating but now that it's out there, I'll just have to get it done. :)

I'm one of those compulsive finishers, so I hovered over the post button for quite a while myself, afraid to accept a challenge I couldn't meet. As you said, it's out there now so game on.

I wouldn't say I have a problem with completing things. I am just slower, especially now due to the financial pressure I am under. I don't have time to do what I want to do, but, there's plenty of work being done in my head every day. When the time comes that I have the freedom to do what I want, instead of what I must, then the fruit shall be so much sweeter because of all the time I have had to think on it.

I'm not planning on doing anything too fancy.....just a few sketches and maybe a few photos but I just really want to commit to putting out one post for myself each day and hope the structure of the challenge will help me do it. :)
