I love your drying shelves. I need to work on building myself something similar. I've never hung onions like this before but I think I'll try it this year. I usually braid mine using the green tops. I like how these look.

I wonder if there would be any difference in shelf life? Definitely worth the experiment. One string of each from the same harvest.
