RE: Walk (Ride) with me - (Ulog #12)

howdy from Texas @bengy! wonderful to take us on that trip by bike with you, I've never seen the countryside of The Neverlands so that was very interesting. My only question is why you took the two instrument cases with you? this is a great and fun post, thank you and God bless!

I play violin, viola and viola d'amore, so I sometimes and required to play multiple instruments in a single concert. I do have double cases that can carry two instruments in a single case, but this time I needed the single cases as one of the instruments I was using didn't fit the double.

The Netherlands is beautiful, when it isn't raining!

howdy today @bengy! that is so interesting that you play multiple instruments, I don't even know what a viola and viola d'amore are, a type of violin?
apparently it rains alot in the Netherlands? and that's why it always looks so lush and green but no one tells us that's why it is!

Hi there!

A Viola is the larger cousin to the violin. It has a deeper tone and plays the inner harmonies of the music. Another way to think of it is as the tenor/alto of the choir compared to the violin Soprano!

As for the viola d'amore, it is an old instrument from the Baroque time that isn't played so much outside the Early Music specialisation of music. I wrote a bit about it here:

howdy again @bengy! that is a beautiful instument! and quite an excellent post about it! thank you!
