Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 25 entry: 3 revelations during a Thursday night walk

A few nights per week I try to make a 30 minute walk. This provides a small window to make up my mind, get some inspiration for what so ever and of course to have good conversations with my wife.

This Thursday or was a very insightful walk. As I'm about to reveal 3 important items. I directly start with the first one.

I want to blog about other subjects then Steemit

When I subsided myself for Steemit I had in mind to write about subjects like the Dutch economy and vacation.

But since Steemit is pretty complex and there is so much to investigate and report, I barely do anything else then writing about Steemit.

Up to now I enjoyed to pay about curation strategy. And also the post about @lynncoyle1 was really fun. So not sure whether I should change anything?

Was that really my first revelation?

Yes, kind of disappointing isn't it?
That brings me to my second revelation. This post probably won't be as good as my previous one. I know why. U2?

The best activity during our walk

Walking around in my own neighborhood I really enjoy to watch houses that are for sale. And that's mainly because the Dutch housing market is really at Steem 😋

The price increases are even that high that some people/organizations say that a new bubble is created. Those people better have a look at the 90's with several years double digit growth.

We walk by a real estate broker. And the windows shows the current situation spot on. About 75% of their objects are sold. The number of houses being at the market for sale is decreasing rapidly. Economist then say that basically 2 things could happen. If the demand exceeds the supply then the price will increase. Or the market will dry up. Cause at some point the buyers are not willing to pay anymore.

Those Economists, together with institutions like banks try to predict the market. But to my opinion they better stop doing so. Because there is quite a big chance that their predictions are way off. As a result of not being able to catch the human emotions in any predictive model!

Interesting thoughts and I wish you well on your journey to post about more diverse things! Thanks for the entry also! Oh and.. It looks like you forgot to put the "IFC" tag on a piece of paper in the image, and you're not the only one. I'm asking the group what we should do, whether we should allow it or be strict to the rules.

Oops. Nevermind.. I was just notified that the rules didn't say you "had" to use the tag and that it was optional. So no worries! you're fine! :D

Great, I did not really forget it. I was unable to create a piece of paper during my walk.

You could say I should have made some more pictures. But that didn't really fit into the story. And I basically only saw houses, grass, play garden and a bit more like that. I probably need to increase my quality level a bit to have a real chance of winning ☺️

There is some pretty fierce competition in this contest. :) You may want to keep that in mind. However, you're just getting started, take some time and learn.. And I'm sure in time, you'll have a much better feel for things!

Nice entry in @apolymask's contest here :)

And I see that now I may encourage your revelations? haha I would like to hear why you think this post won't do as well as your last!

I do think it's a good idea to blog about other things sometimes. Not all crazy random stuff mind you, because you obviously know the steemit stuff and numbers very well!

Good luck with your entry !

I think this post wasn't as good as the previous one, because it didn't really contain any numbers or calculations. And that's the thing I'm quite good at.

I also noticed a bit of dumb typo.

And I just think that not all someone posts can be awesome. Some are a bit better than others.

Fair enough. I have posts that do well, and some that don't. Sometimes, I can't quite tell why either :)

Just a totally different question. As it keeps bothering me a bit that @taskmaster managed to earn quite a high amount by commenting I keep wondering why he succeeded in doing so. I guess he played a few tricks like commenting his rich buddies. Which you and I probably can't do cause we don't have to many of these rich buddies.

Other thing that might make a difference is when you leave a comment. If you only comment posts that are 3-4 days old, it probably won't give you any upvotes besides those from the author. While of you comment posts that are less than 1 hour old, you have a chance of many people stopping by.

So now I wonder when do you on average write your comments?

I sure people figure out who exactly leaves a bigger upvote and comment on those, but I am not one of them.

That's a good point you make about the opportunity to have others comment on a "early comment" as opposed to just the author after a few days!

I have a few people in my ginabot settings where I get notified when they write a post, but truthfully, it's because they are people I consider friends and I just don't want to miss their posts haha It has nothing to do with "getting in early".

Me I liked the post, and I like looking at homes for sale, we call realtor porn, or house hunting porn, because we just like to drool all over how nice some of the houses look, I mean I'd never be able to buy one of the super nice ones, but there are some beautiful houses out there. I was hooked on trulia for about a year just surfing all over he lower 48 looking at houses and prices (Lower 48 is what we in Alaska refer to the connected United States).

Those terms are really funny.
And you know what they say, sex always sells 😀
