Coinbase accounts - Hawaii
I am totally bummed..Evidently I am unable to open a wallet to be able to convert U.S. dollars to cryptocurrency simply due to the fact that I live in Hawaii. Every account I tried to open came back with this message after I signed up!!
Does anyone have a solution for me?

Although we strive to provide continuous access to Coinbase services in all states in the US, Coinbase must indefinitely suspend its business in Hawaii.
The Hawaii Division of Financial Institutions (DFI) has communicated regulatory policies which we believe will render continued Coinbase operations there impractical.
In particular, we understand that the Hawaii DFI will require licensure of entities which offer certain virtual currency services to Hawaii residents. Although Coinbase has no objection to this policy decision, we understand the Hawaii DFI has further determined that licensees who hold virtual currency on behalf of customers must maintain redundant fiat currency reserves in an amount equal to the aggregate face value of all digital currency funds held on behalf of customers. Although Coinbase securely maintains 100% of all customer funds on behalf of our customers, it is impractical, costly, and inefficient for us to establish a redundant reserve of fiat currency over and above customer digital currency secured on our platform.
We ask Hawaii customers to please:
Remove any digital currency balance from your Coinbase Account. Please note that you may remove digital currency from your Coinbase Account either by selling digital currency on the buy/sell page of your Coinbase Account (ordinary fees and restrictions apply), or by sending your digital currency to an alternate digital

If location is the issue - then one could go the way of proxy...
Coinbase would trade normally with a non-Hawaiian IP, most likely.
Of course, you will want to look into the downsides of such - legality, security, etc...
Another option is to change the approach to getting Steem. Perhaps rendering a desired service could provide the desired boost.
I finally got approved by bitterex but not sure if they take us dollars. Little hard to navigate for a novice like me. but you are right about service. Thinking about posting my hawaiian pepper jams and sauces in the community store. Maybe design a steem logo on it or see if someone has a graphic I could use. Also, start doing more videos and upload to dtube. Anyway my friend, thanks so much for caring enough to reply and for always being so helpful!!
The steem logo is pretty easy to come by.
I wouldn't mind assisting with the creation of a reasonably unique logo incorporating it - but you will need to express your thoughts (or illustrate via sketch) on what you want the logo to be like. :c)
Also... 'is' there a community store where prices are in crypto? That would be neat.
Yes that is my plan once I get more inventory is to add some to the community store. Lots of tourist have asked me to sell on line, so should do well especially since it is open to the public. Thanks for the offer to help with design. I'll let you know once I figure out. Probably just a simple logo with my community store link on it. Oh, BTW, I signed up for Changelly and got approved. I can make deposits there with debit or credit card. I can actually purchase steem there. Where do I find the address for steemit to have crypto sent to for my account? Do I give them my posting number from my wallet?

I must admit that the only trading I do is via the internal market - and I am thus-far clueless about fiat-to-crypto-to-fiat exchanges. :cP

Thanks Smiley, but not so great as still can't deposit us dollars so can purchase more steempower! Guess I will just have to keep steeming more and earn it. lol

Thanks for your reply @steemit-earn. I think I tried bitterex. I hav tried so many, I forget which ones. Where do I find the number for wallet support? They all seem to be connected to coin base. I am basically trying to purchase more steempower!!
