Shamanic journey through the ghetto of Peru, and not only / Шаманское путешествие в Перу (featuring @njall as author)

-Hello!, - that was the voice of @tagira from the other end.
-Sweetheart, I got a piece of news, Perceive as you wants, but I already made the decision.
-I’m already scared, - she replied kiddingly, - what is it?
-Well,.. We’re flying to Peru in a month. - Yes, that was a surprise.
-What?! Are you kidding me?! Peru?!
-I’m saying if you don’t want to, I’ll go alone.

-Алло - Услышал я голос @tagira
-Любимая, у меня для тебя новость, воспринимай как хочешь, но решения я уже принял.
-Мне уже страшно...-шутливо ответила она- Что такое?
-В общем...через месяц я лечу в Перу и ты со мной.- Да, это был сюрприз.
-Что?! Ты шутишь?! Какое Перу?!
-Я сказал, если хочешь, то я могу полететь один.

And this is how our shamanic journey started. A month later we arrived in Moscow and got aboard. We’ve been dreaming about visiting Peru, the mysterious country, for a long time! So many sights, mysteries and legends! A year wouldn’t be enough to explore them all, but we came there with a specific purpose. Of course we wanted to visit Machu Picchu, see the Nazca desert, swim in the Pacific Ocean, but our priority was life of Indians.

We flew there to reach wild jungle and solve riddles of the Universe!
I’m going to tell you about that journey, so make a cup of tea (or get a glass of cool juice) and turn on some Indian music! Here we go!

И так началось наше шаманское путешествие, через месяц мы приехали в Москву и сели в самолет, мы давно мечтали оказаться в Перу, это страна-загадка! Столько тайн, достопримечательностей и легенд!
Вам и года не хватит на изучение всего, но у нас была более конкретная цель.
Да, мы хотели побывать на Мачу-Пикчу и в пустыне Наски, искупаться в океане, но главной целью была жизнь индейцев.
Мы летели туда чтобы оказаться в диких джунглях и познать тайны мироздания!

We live in Russia, so the flight (literally to the other end of the world) was very long! Including transfers, it took us about 24 hours and finally we arrived in the capital of Peru – Lima.

Мы живем в России и это был очень долгий полет (буквально на другой конец света)! С пересадками вышло около 24 часов! Наконец-то мы оказались в столице Перу - в Лиме.

I’d watched lots of videos about Peru, and in all of them there were merry mountains, wild jungle and lovely ethnic towns, but we came to real Latin America, where at about 11 PM we went out of the airport and took a taxi. Overwhelmed with emotions, I felt like I was a real gringo in a ghetto!







However, going by a ghetto, covered with graffiti, wasn’t the most pleasant feeling and I was glad we’d taken a taxi, it made me feel safe (even though a taxi at the airport was expensive, I’d hardly take a chance to get any other!). An hour later we reached the city center and, fortunately, our hotel happened to be a rather safe and comfy place, - at least in the heart of the city one doesn’t feel like a character of a Mexican movie…
We had a day-off to look around in Lima and explore its sights, which we did.

Я смотрел много видео о Перу, но все они показывали радостные горы, дикие джунгли и милые этнические города, но тут мы прибыли в настоящую Латинскую Америку, где-то в 23 часа ночи мы вышли из аэропорта и сели в такси, меня переполняли эмоции, я чувствовал себя настоящим "гринго" среди трущоб!
Не самое приятное чувство, мы ехали через гетто, все исписано в граффити, и я был счастлив что находился в такси, чувствовал безопасность (такси Аэропорта, хоть и дорогое, но в другое я бы точно не сел! :) ), спустя час мы доехали до центра города, а там и наш отель, к счастью это оказалось более благополучное и уютное место, хоть в центре ты не чувствуешь себя героем мексиканских фильмов... :)
У нас был день на прогулку в Лиме и изучение достопримечательностей, чем мы и воспользовались

What is surprising about Lima, and Peru in general, is that this place is one huge market, that has nothing in common with an average European city. It’s some kind of a surreal market-city, where every street’s bestrewed with shops, and locals are always trying to sell you something. You can keep going for 15 minutes and seeing nothing else but clothes asale. Another street and a long length row of groceries is open for your eye, and on the other side there is a strip of musical instruments, that seems to be endless… A few statues, sights and terrifying ghetto!








I got used to Lima quite soon, this place has some special beauty, yet I wouldn’t like to live there. Besides, it’s rather dirty in places!
Locals differ from us, they’re happier and freer in everything: food, clothes, relationships (I wouldn’t say the last thing is an evident plus, though) and etc. The atmosphere here is very hard to describe, to live it through is much more interesting!
I can talk about Lima for a long time, perhaps someday I’ll take the time to describe it in more detail, but now, please, enjoy the pictures, since the main purpose of our travel was meeting indiansin the jungle.

Лима, да и Перу в целом, удивительна тем что является большим рынком, это не похоже на привычный европейский город, некий сюрреалистический город-базар где каждая улица усыпана магазинами, а местные жители постоянно пытаются продать что-нибудь, идешь минут 15 и вокруг одна одежда, новая улица и ты видишь долгий, протяженный ряд продовольственных товаров, а в другой стороне музыкальные инструменты, и кажется что этому нет конца...немного статуй, достопримечательностей и пугающее гетто! (Оно, к сожалению, в преимуществе)
Я быстро привык к Лиме, есть в ней своя красота, но все же жить там не хотел бы
Да местами и достаточно грязно!
Люди тут другие, более свободные и счастливые, свободнее во всем - в еде, в одежде, в отношениях (хотя последнее не могу назвать явным плюсом) и т.д., эту атмосферу сложно описать, куда интереснее пережить! :)
Можно говорить долго о Лиме, возможно в будущем подробней опишу ее, а пока наслаждайтесь фотографиями, все же наша главная цель - индейцы в джунглях ;)
