Witness Update steve-walschot
Since my witness server got shutdown without any valid reason, i've upgraded my witness servers and setup.
New specs:
Primary Witness:
- Intel Xeon D-1520 4 core 2.6 Ghz
- 128 Gb DDR4 ram memory
- 4x 800Gb SSD
Backup witness:
- Intel Xeon E5 1620 4 core 3.6Ghz
- 32 Gb DDR3 ram memory
- 2x 2Tb HDD storage
3 different small servers are monitoring for failovers, ready to switch instantaneously between servers in case of a shutdown or problem.
My seednode has also been updated to 94.23.200.113:2001
What happened to you old server?
Absolute overkill in my opinion but your heart is in the right place Steve. :P
what is the monthly cost for such as server (say, the primary witness one?) I was thinking of getting a VPS and Im trying to do some back-of-the-envelope calculations
