[weekendfun] Steemy Or Not.com - Vote On Steemy Hot People
Steemit is all about great stories and great... well... people! Here is a tool in which you can simply vote on the steemyness of 'articles'... Introducing 'Steemy Or Not', a simple website dedicated to voting on Steemy Hot People... And discovering some while you are at it.
Visit SteemyOrNot.com and click your preferred category (female or male) to start voting...
It's like META, SUPERMETA, on Top of Meta... times infinity
How it's done:
- Two google sheets (female & male) with a collection of articles
- Using Websockets ( @steemit, @xeroc) and Steemjs ( @fabien)
- Steem API: get_content to retrieve post data
- Parse: body to get image and fill the Votee subject data
- LikeBTN with callback.
- Sound effects
- Jquery and Bootstrap to top it off

i want to suggest a few improvements:
if you want to make it more elaborate, you would also use a seperate key on your side for each post, so if someone reports an inappropriate image you can delete the key, making it impossible to decrypt the markdown text or whatever you use (json) to id and create the content
also make it easier to follow the babes ;)
Good suggestions! I'll add a few. First of all, thanks to the OP for this creative project :) I came across it in Steem App Center. I was a bit confused on what it actually does. It would be cool if:
The biggest challenge in upvoting might be to figure out what exactly to upvote, but I think there are solutions to this... even if it might need some configuration in the Steemit platform. Fortunately it's open source at least, makes it easier to propose changes that are faster to implement :)
That was fun, it would be REALLY nice to be able to choose the picture that ends up on there, maybe make an interface where users can submit a picture that they want on steemit, as if I want my crazy electrician picture in my intro post to be the one people end up voting on lol... so yeah other then that I think its great I'd just like to actually add the picture.

What if you made a new tag category "steemy" and used that to gather the pictures from where people submitted a picture they want on there?
