Equinox - PiedPiper Poetry
One of the scripts I'm working on is about a UFO chaser and the preacher's daughter he meets while passing through a small town. She's teetering on the edge of a crisis of faith and a tragic event is about to send her over the edge. While it seems that the new stranger in town arrived just in time to help her through the fire, she'll soon realize that he's just as damaged and lost as she is. The collision of worlds is a risky business. With enough vulnerability, honesty, and a commitment to objective reality, they just might help one another to heal and emerge from the fog of their respective coping mechanisms... but more likely, they'll just crash and burn like most everyone else does. Either way, it's a powder keg ready to blow and the rotting little town is set to burn all around them.
Behind a mask are frozen tears from years of stormy weather
Claws of sharpened razor wire guard a fractured heart
Born of fire, in the sky, from the very start
With all the lonely multitudes between the Sun and Mars
With all the gambles of the past ending up in sorrow
It’s all too easy, here and now, to drink away tomorrow
Waiting for the dark to fall when diamonds come to play
The twinkles of a thousand eyes forever kept at bay
Too far away to warm our skin - Too dim to light the way
The light of day can light the way to victory instead
So rise up from below and claim what you are due
Laugh at all the lies and share that which is true
Throughout time and space
Awakening the passions of
A sleepy human race
A symphony of courage and unstoppable will
A song that is sung in crescendo until
We watch as the webs of the spiders all fall
When the new age has dawned and love’s conquered all
Awesome subject! Like how you keep the flow for such long lines
Wow! I drew a picture once that looks exactly like those two Earth colliding. Freaky :)

Cool. Ever read any Velikovsky? I read his book Worlds in Collision when I was in high school and I guess it left an impression. :)
