For the sake of love of Steemit!
I am shocked that I should write this post, but I feel that it is necessary. The vast majority of readers of my blog will understand that I very deliberately and rationally approach an explanation of the reasons of my inferences on subjects which I discuss.
I find Steemit incredibly interesting, for the service it provides yeah, and the community it builds, but more so for the fact that it seems to be the first DApp since bitcoin with a shot at widespread use.
For those of you who have not yet bumped into it, Steemit is a platform where individuals post and rate content, and get rewarded for doing it well. This reward is in the form of a couple different kinds of tokens each of which serve a different function on the Steemit blockchain network.
Always it is possible to find the general functions! Steemit always separates the following functions with Blockchain:
- internet based;
- open source;
- for free or at very low costs;
- Community of adherents.
Overall, it really is a fantastic platform, from its design to its UX; I really don’t think there’s any other application with its level of usability and polish in the DApp space. Of course its not without its flaws, seeing fear and mob-mentalities influence some of the voting and content on the platform, some of the content is a bit shifty, and I’d love to see a third party client for it.
I think Steemit is a fantastic platform!

It is what you said great platform with nice content and potential. What you mentioned about some shitty content i agree there will always be some of that like on any social media and in ordinary life too. I do not go so far to the need of having third party for those issues but i believe self aware community and responsible users which we want to be need to react by not giving any credit or attention to that type of posts. Unfortunately there will always be people who see this as potential short term money and they do anything possible just to get few $. This is unhealthy but better if we are not focusing on them and try to produce our own content and develop our interests here. Good luck in future buddy nice post!
