The Progression of a Painting, A Poem: Hunted by: Kate Cloud, & An announcement on the winner of the inspire me post.
Hunted Saint
I wouldn't have chosen to be there,
the timing to all a surprise.
When my love ran to me there waiting,
he had excitement in his eyes.
For weeks before I'd seen the saint,
there grazing in a fog of breath.
I wondered at its beauty,
my love anxioused for its death.
I don't know why I followed,
through the thick- rained with precious blood.
I felt its panic trailing,
my heart heaved with each thud.
I imagined its mighty rack,
falling like autumn leaves.
Eyes-wide, coat shinning...
as it must lower to its knees.
Never had I seen blood so red,
like light in brilliant stone.
We never saw the saint again,
and my love I no more atone.

I apologize for the delay but art is art and sometimes the best things take time. Just a little tip, each of your images is quite large in filesize, I checked the first one, it is ~3MB.
If each image in this post has a similar size, that is ~18MB for your readers to download, it could take a long time for your readers to download your post (I almost left your post before the images downloaded), and others might leave your post without ever seeing the images, thus, not upvote you, especially on mobile (I am not sure if #steemit serves smaller, compressed files for mobile, but I could check).
Perhaps you could try compressing them, where you would reduce the file size significantly, you really wouldn't lose much quality, if you reduce it to ~80% JPEG format, using e.g Photoshop's 'save for web' utility.
Hope it helps...
Oh and also, it was worth the wait this time. The grass, trees, and bird are my favourite parts of this piece.
