Stephen Hawking: "God did not create the universe."

in #science7 years ago

Our universe did not need any divine help to "be born" announced the famous cosmologist Stephen Hawking in front of an auditorium at the California Institute of Technology.

Hawking held a lecture titled "The Origin of the Universe," and ticket queues began to form twelve hours before the famous physicist lectured. Two hours before the lecture began, queues exceeded 400 meters.

Stephen Hawking began the lecture reciting a myth of creation in Africa, and then went to the big questions like:

"Why are we here?"

Hawking explained:

"We humans are the product of some quantum fluctuations that took place at the beginning of the universe."

After synthesizing religious ideas about the creation of the universe, Hawking detailed the scientific explanations offered by the researchers, detailing the theory of the continual state, postulated by Fred Hoyle and Thomas Gold. This idea claims that there is no beginning or ending and that galaxies continue to form from spontaneously created matter.

The physicist concluded the lecture by referring to "Theory M," partly based on ideas postulated by another famous physicist, Richard Feynman. Hawking believes that this theory is the only big idea explaining what he has noticed.

"M" theory claims that more universes have been created out of nothing, Hawking explains, with many histories and states of existence being possible. In only a few of these states of existence, the existence of life forms is possible, and mankind may exist in a more limited number of states of existence. Hawking stressed that he feels fortunate to live in this state of existence.

Hawking concluded a lecture talking about the further exploration of the cosmos:

"We must continue to go into space for the future of humanity. I do not think we will survive for another 1,000 years without escaping from this fragile planet. "

Even if this are old news and I believe there exist a God, I love hearing other opinions about the creation of the universe.

Please let me know your opinions, thank you for reading, @jwolf.

thanks man! Wish you a great day!

This one of the longest and beautiful posts I have ever read.

Thanks you for sharing. @jwolf

Great post, I also believe in God but not the Genesis version, I believe God is far greater than that and trying to limit Him is an impossibility.

Thank you, I believe the same!

Nice article @jwolf!

Hawking likes to use the argument that because there is the laws of Physics, there needn't be a creator. However, who created the laws of Physics? Did they create themselves?

well, we humans created them

Ok I do believe in Big Bang but I would rather believe in ONE who caused it ;)

that's realistic!

Very good post will follow you

thank you so much!
