Beauties with curves !
Dear Stackers,
With a growing number of lady stackers we have to watch what we are saying but today I wanna show some curves.
No, no baseball curves but coins with curves that is; a.k.a. "domed" coins.
Yesterday I asked to recognize what coin I had posted. I only showed the backside though. @Stackingag47 was quick and correct in his answer. It clearly had a curve and was of 2013. It was and still is the PAVO southern sky coin, which is the second of a small serie.
This PAVO southern sky coin of Australia is my only curved coin and it is an expensive one. You can buy 10 maples for this 1 ounce proof coin.
Other curved coins are the famous curved baseball coin and the lesser known rugby championship (not champignon) gold and silver curved coin minted by the Paris Mint (rugby ball shape Monnaie de Paris)

Why so few ?
I quote AGAUNEWS.com of 2015 on the French coins:
"All the domed coins to date have been round. That’s a sensible move given these are apparently far more difficult to strike without distorting than would seem at first glance. More mints have attained the necessary ability, so the Monnaie de Paris have upped the ante again. Rugby having an oval shaped ball made the choice to strike an oval coin a bit of a no-brainer. Taking that a step further and we have the world’s first silver and gold domed oval coins."
So that is it for the curves,
Goldrooster

hey that's nice :-)
I started with hundreds of philharmonics! But sometimes you buy a "looker". Greetings aus die Niederlanden.
