"Do Christians need to know about aliens?" This question springs off of a statement made by a friend of mine, in the course of an intense conversation about my research into aliens:

“If you believe in Jesus as your savior, and that he is the all powerful God, you don’t need to know anything about aliens/(non-human) entities.”

We were at a stalemate - I was speaking out of my knowledge of alien presence, and she out of her disbelief of alien presence.

This question is problematic in a number of ways.

It presumes that even if aliens exist, as long as you believe in Jesus, you don’t need to know anything about them.

That’s a little like saying that even if a talking purple elephant exists in the suburbs of Chicago, we should just keep focusing on believing in Jesus and not worry about it. It reminds me of the chapter in Adam Fleming’s new book about the officials in Ohio stating “there are no cougars in Ohio.” Except Ohio folk kept seeing cougars.

But since non-human intelligent entities (aliens) DO exist, asking if Christians in particular need to know about them is silly. I find it frankly alarming that so many Christians I talk to about ETs treat the subject hypothetically and in the realm of science fiction. Why wouldn’t humans need to know about other living things on and around our earth - especially non-human intelligent ones? Science can study all manner of biology, and our government for one has biologically studied physical aliens. But one issue we run into with ETs is that both science and faith in the superhuman and supernatural must be brought to the table to understand higher evolved entities, because not all are discernible (visible or audible) in our current spiritual state. So the secular humanist scientist will deny ET existence without undeniable physical evidence, and the supernaturalist will be unable to accept ET existence without exercising faith that God makes mortals evolve to become invisible (to our eyes). Somehow Christians can handle all manner of angel and demon stories as real, but not the idea that something lies in between us and them.

This question is also problematic in it’s assumption that it’s okay - actually, it’s preferable - to remain ignorant as a believer. You “don’t need” to know.

Of course, I agree, on a basic level, that knowing Jesus as my savior is enough, in the very general sense of having figured out the most important element of life (literally). Personally, I’m settled, I’m loved, I’m assured of my name in the Book of Life. So why study aliens?

My journey into studying aliens began with the curiosity of wanting to know about the current age, and whether we were at the end of it and what new beginnings may be in store for humanity. I returned again and again to the promise that the Holy Spirit will lead us into ALL truth.

So the basic answer I can give is: Because learning about aliens is part of knowing all truth.

Beyond just wanting to satiate my natural drive for knowledge about the world and the cosmos, remains the question: do I NEED to know? Do my fellow Christians need to know? What is the value in knowing the truth about the cosmos? What is the cost to not knowing the truth?

This is not a theoretical question. This is a real-time, actual issue unfolding in our world as we speak. What is the price of ignorance?

We’ve been paying it. We just have no idea the extent of the cost. At the very least, it costs us the ability to accurately interpret historical and current events, which feeds needless fear. It costs us the full realization of our human identity as not only sons and daughters of God, but also as brothers and sisters to myriad other created beings - in essence, it causes us to perceive ourselves as isolated and alone. If we understand the elemental truth of ecology here on our earth that everything is connected - the “web of life” idea - we also must understand the connectedness of all of creatures - within our planet and without.

Uncovering truth has inherent value which is generally accepted: lies cause broken relationships, undiscovered potential, and false perception of reality, among other negative consequences.

Accepting alien presence leads to uncovering the deep, dark secrets of the World Power Elite.

Accepting alien presence leads to accepting an alternate history of the human race than what we’ve been taught.

Accepting alien presence leads to a more comprehensive understanding of the forces - for our good or our demise - at work in our everyday lives.

Accepting alien presence opens up deep questions about the nature of fallen-ness, salvation, and eternal life.

Those effects are enough right there to make some Christians simply desire ignorance rather than the alternative, which messes with the "safe" worldview they have maintained.

Most importantly, accepting alien presence leads to confirmation that the ultimate point of all mortal life is spiritual ascension into the presence and likeness of the Holy Trinity at the Center of All. Because the story of the higher ascended mortals (aliens) is, and will be, our story. And we would be wise to learn as much as we can about what is in store for us. Souls of alien races have been lost; thus we can deduce that human souls are also at grave risk of being “lost” as well. Obviously, this is not news to the Biblically literate. But there’s something of the scale of our mortal predicament that gets illuminated once we find out other races have gone before us in this tumultuous journey, some of their members choosing to journey towards Light, and some choosing to remain in darkness, and subsequently losing their souls.

So yes, Christians need to know about aliens. All humans will eventually know of alien presence once our quarantine is deemed safe to lift and we join the Galactic Community. The Council has already chosen and is training the race that will have the first open contact with humanity. The timing depends on the global consent of humanity, which has been estimated to be as near as 10 years and as far as 35 years or more away. Of course, it could be much, much longer if many humans remain content in their current understanding of the cosmos that excludes alien presence.

As I’ve said before: Christians need to be on the leading edge of the unfolding revelations of higher entities going on globally. What we, the church, have ridiculed, ignored, demonized, and hidden for generations is not going away. To the contrary, it’s getting closer to home.

The time is now.

Sort:

nowhere in the bible does it say aliens exist, or any other places to live like earth.

in fact, in genesis 1, God says He brought the earth forth on day three, and then the sun, moon and stars were created on day four, all on the same day, to give light upon the earth.

this tells us the cosmology we have been led to believe in modern times is nothing like the heavens and earth God actually created - the two are mutually exclusive, and you cannot believe both.

I agree, the cosmologies are different. I'm wondering how you personally reconcile ancient texts like the Bible with current discoveries we've made with modern technology?
It's a hard issue for many of us who grew up with sacred texts as our compass, for sure.

Just to give you a friendly nudge for thought: neither does the Bible say polar bears exist, but that doesn't mean humans didn't eventually record them in their writings later on.

All I'm saying is that humans have now seen, interviewed, dissected, and communicated with beings that don't call Earth home. That wasn't true in Bible times.

Thanks for the comment!

those are fair points. which modern technology though?
you don't mean this do you? ;-)

Well, "modern technology" is a rabbithole I'm not sure you really are asking me to go down...suffice to say, the masses' knowledge of what advances are being used is different than the reality of what the elite/Luciferian illegitimate rulers are using.
What I'm referring to in my reply above is the microscope, the telescope, physical and medical studies, etc etc. which bring additional understanding to the worldview found in the Bible.
What I'm referring to in this comment is torus energy, anti-gravity technology, human cloning, plasma, science of consciousness, teleportation, geo-engineering, nano bots, etc, etc.
