Sanchez, Arsenal's forward, likely to confirm 'Old Trafford move'

The Arsenal forward is out of contract at the end of the month and it is likely that he won’t sign a new deal with his present club. With Arsenal dropping their asking price to £30m for Sanchez, who is out of contract and free in the summer, the 29-year-old is in huge demand to the different European football club giants. He has been a man of interest for Manchester United, Manchester City,  PSG, Chelsea, Real Madrid.

The Arsenal striker has been a most likely target for Guardiola for more than a year. However, in a recent press conference, Guardiola refuses to discuss about linking of Manchester City with Alexis Sanchez. Guardiola said: "I understand completely this question, I understand you are doing your job, but you know my answer. I am not going (to speak about it). I'm focused on Liverpool, believe me. As a manager you have a lot of words to deal with and you have to choose which ones you want to be focused on. I want to be focused on what we have to do on the field. The game and (how to) play, that is my only concern. I would not like my players, when they see me on TV or read the newspapers, (to hear) the manager talking about another (player) and thinking they are not important. Manchester United and Manchester City are both battling for his signature but it seems Jose Mourinho’s side may have the upper hand. And according to Sky Sports Italia journalist Mario Giunta, United are closing in on Sanchez. He claims United are close to agreeing personal terms with the Chile international.
