Evolved Alchemy is a small business aimed at offering education, state-of-the-art extraction equipment and pharmaceutical-type herbal-derived supplements to the general public. Mending ancient alchemical extraction techniques (Spagyrics) with organic chemistry, Evolved Alchemy is fusing ancient knowledge with modern day science.
The business is a platform for spreading education about how we can reclaim our roots in medicine, armed with the knowledge to understand, extract and purify herbs into their most potent, bioavailable form.
Back- Engineering Pharmaceutical Medicine
Modern day medicine is founded on the constituents of many herbal extracts. These herbs are suppressed or banned while pharmaceutical companies reap profits selling unnatural forms of naturally derived constituents. For example, Diazepram (Valium) is based on a chemical constituent from Valerien Root. Aspirin is based on a chemical found in Aspen Tree bark. Adderall (Amphetamine Salts) originated from the Ephedra sinensis plant native to china. The list goes on and on...All these pharmaceuticals are FDA approved and their herbal counterparts are understudied, banned, suppressed or claimed to have no medicinal value. The current cannabis industry is the perfect example.
Pharmaceuticals have one big problem with them...Since they are synthesized, they create chemicals that are similar to the ones found in the plant, but they are imperfect. These imperfect compounds are called 'new drugs' and they come with side effects. Our bodies have evolved and grown together with herbs and their constituents. Compounds that are chemically similar have effects, but not the same effects as naturally derived ones. The only reason pharmaceuticals are so profitable is because companies can patent synthesis methods, they cannot patent a plant.
If the public was self educated, we could procure our own medicine. This would encourage the growth of many herbs increasing the demand for sustainable agriculture. What if the rain forest wasn't being cut down because the trees/herbs in it were worth more money? What if we could make herbal medicine just as effective as pharmaceuticals without the side effects?
We believe all this is possible and the knowledge to do so is buried in alchemical texts. Through deciphering these texts into modern day understanding, we can reclaim our independence in medicine and healing. We want to help start other companies specializing in applying these alchemical techniques to make potent herbal medicine. By sharing knowledge in a decentralized way, we aim to make sure there cannot be any monopoly on true herbal medicine.
Evolved Alchemy aims to start an Alchemical Revolution. This is a revolution of bridging ancient knowledge with modern day science.
